2. General
We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website and to handle your enquiries. This website does not use cookies or any analytics or tracking tools. Fonts, videos and manuals are loaded exclusively from our own server; no third-party content is embedded.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. STRATO processes the data as a processor on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR) on servers located in Germany.
When you visit the website, the following data is automatically recorded in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page or file requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, amount of data transferred and status code.
The purpose is to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability (e.g. defending against attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of the website. Log files are stored only as long as necessary for these purposes and are then deleted or anonymised.
4. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, for example to request trial access, we process your details (such as name, email address, phone number, company and the content of your enquiry) in order to handle your request.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Storage in your browser
When you close the “LABsBOOK 2.0” note, a marker is set in your browser’s session storage (sessionStorage) so that the note does not appear again. It contains no personal data and is deleted automatically when you close the browser. The legal basis is Sec. 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, as this storage is strictly necessary for the function you requested.
6. Links to other websites
This website contains links to websites of other providers. Data is transferred to the respective provider only when you click such a link. The privacy policy of that provider applies to its data processing.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
To exercise your rights, simply send an email to info@labsbook.de.
8. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany.
9. Automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
